These Terms govern your use of SchoolSaaS. Key points: 14-day free trial available, 7-day refund policy, payments via Razorpay, data is yours, and we do not include academic/ERP features. Please read fully before using the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SchoolSaaS ("the Platform"), you ("User" or "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SchoolSaaS Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
2. Description of Service
SchoolSaaS is a cloud-based, multi-tenant Software as a Service (SaaS) platform designed for educational operators to manage school workspaces, subscriptions, billing, domains, branding, and platform configurations. IMPORTANT: SchoolSaaS is NOT a school ERP system. We do not provide academic modules including student management, attendance tracking, examination systems, gradebooks, or timetable management. Our platform strictly focuses on SaaS management, billing, and operational infrastructure.
3. Account Registration & Security
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify SchoolSaaS of any unauthorized use of your account. SchoolSaaS will not be liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account credentials.
4. School Workspace Terms
Each school workspace created on our platform is treated as an isolated tenant. You may create and manage multiple school workspaces under one account. Each workspace maintains independent billing, settings, branding, and data. You are responsible for all activity within workspaces you own or administer. Workspace ownership can be transferred subject to both parties agreeing to the transfer.
5. Subscription & Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise specified. All fees are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice via email. Failure to pay may result in service suspension. Reactivation of a suspended account may require payment of outstanding amounts.
6. Free Trial
We offer a 14-day free trial with full access to your selected plan's features. No credit card is required to start a free trial. At the end of the trial period, your school workspace will be paused (not deleted) until you subscribe to a paid plan. Trial workspaces may be subject to usage limitations. SchoolSaaS reserves the right to modify or cancel trial offerings.
7. Refund Policy
We offer a full refund within 7 days of a new subscription payment if you are not satisfied with the service. Refund requests must be submitted to billing@schoolsaas.com within the 7-day window. Refunds are not available for partial months, annual plans after the first 7 days, or any plan after prior refunds have been issued. Razorpay processing fees may not be refundable.
8. Payment Processing
All payments are processed through Razorpay Payment Gateway. By making a payment, you agree to Razorpay's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We support multiple payment methods including credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, digital wallets, and EMI options. SchoolSaaS is not responsible for payment failures caused by issues with payment methods, banks, or Razorpay systems.
9. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use SchoolSaaS for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms. Prohibited activities include: uploading malicious code or content; attempting unauthorized access to any system; using the platform to send spam or unsolicited communications; violating any applicable law or regulation; infringing intellectual property rights; using the platform in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our systems; or reselling access to the platform without written permission.
10. Data Ownership & License
You retain full ownership of all data, content, and information you upload, store, or process through SchoolSaaS ("Customer Data"). You grant SchoolSaaS a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, display, and process Customer Data solely as necessary to provide the service. SchoolSaaS will not use your Customer Data for any other purpose without your explicit consent.
11. Intellectual Property
SchoolSaaS and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the Platform, including software, design, trademarks, and documentation. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Platform or its underlying intellectual property without written permission from SchoolSaaS.
12. Service Availability & SLA
We target 99.9% platform uptime for Growth and Professional plans and 99.99% for Enterprise plans, measured monthly excluding scheduled maintenance windows. Scheduled maintenance will be announced at least 48 hours in advance. In the event of unplanned downtime exceeding our SLA commitments, eligible customers may receive service credits as outlined in our SLA documentation.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. You may cancel your subscription from your account dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. SchoolSaaS may suspend or terminate your account immediately for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that poses risk to the platform or other users. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion, during which you may export your data.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCHOOLSAAS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO SCHOOLSAAS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. We encourage resolution of disputes through our support team before pursuing legal remedies.
17. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice of material changes via email to the address associated with your account and via in-platform notification. Your continued use of SchoolSaaS after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
